Payment terms:

Payments are made to the supplied Direct Debit account one month in advance on the first day of each month. The monthly rates are calculated using the formula (RATE X 52) / 12.

A fixed rate requires that payments are made each and every month (like a normal rental lease) but can be terminated at one months notice. For example the total cost of hiring a room for one day per week for the year is $3,718.20.

Changes to the schedule can only be made with one months notice.

EFPOS:

EFPOS facilities are available to therapists on a cost recovery basis. Therapists will need to pay their bank a merchant joining fee and ongoing merchant fees. The cost of the EFPOS terminal and phone line rental is shared with others users. Currently this averages out at $15.00 per month. Only those therapists electing to use the EFPOS facilities will be charged for the use of EFPOS facilities.

Hourly Bookings:

Their are a number of simple rules for those engaged in hourly room hire and these are:

(a) Rooms are booked in one hour blocks only this means the room must be vacated at the end of the booked session. This permits the next therapist to occupy the room in a timely and professional manner.

(b) All sessions must be booked online before commencing a session. Under no circumstances can a therapist occupy a room without an internet booking.

(c) Room bookings can be changed 24 hours prior to the appointment. Cancellations after this time must be paid for. Bookings can be rescheduled in the day if a room is available and the appointment must be updated on the booking system to avoid conflicts.

(d) Fees are based on 1 hour blocks so a 65 minute session is a two hour block.

Priority:

Therapists making fixed (permanent) bookings (daily / weekly) have priority over casual daily bookings. Casual bookings can only be guaranteed 1 week in advance.

Blue Card:

All therapists that treat minors must have a Blue Card or an exemption (i.e. psychologist). The State Government application is found here.
